8 December 2008
Good day to all our valued customers and friends
It is the time of year when one has the sincere need to thank everybody for their support during 2008 and to wish you all of the best during the festive season and a very prosperous 2009. May you experience lots of pleasure looking at, working with and caring for you plants, as we do on a daily basis.
We have entered the nice and quiet season in the nursery where we have the opportunity to organise and prepare for the new year, our customers overseas are mostly in the heart of winter (except the few lucky ones living in the tropics), in South Africa our local customers are thinking mainly of the long summer holiday, sunshine and beaches, and, of course, Christmas shopping.
We have received some very nice material from tissue culture and other sources during the last month or two, we are at the moment preparing all of these for the new season update on our website towards February and March, we will keep you fully informed.
Due to the favourable exchange rate, we have been able to lower the Dollar prices of many of our books, both new and antiquarian. We will in fact add a number of titles to the second category in the next few days. If you would like to order some books and receive them before Christmas, please do that without delay. Customers from our own wonderful country (eat your hearts out, those who do not live here), must remember, just drop us an e-mail for prices of books and plants in Rands.
One last request, we are striving to make our website one of the leading sites on succulent plants from the African region (and we always include “our” islands as well as the Arabian Peninsula to the region). Please spend some time on the website, articles (which we plan to expand largely in the next few months), the Gallery and the whole site. We would appreciate your comments very much, please let us know if you find any mistakes or omissions.
From a hot and humid Pretoria
All of the best
Kotie and Sean
