Postage & Packaging Prices are given in US Dollars and exclude postage, certificates and permits. In the case of orders from abroad postage and cost of Phyto-sanitary certificates as well as Nature Conservation permits where applicable will be added and charged after shipment has been made. Plants are packed securely and sent by registered air-mail or by air freight. For smaller orders air-mail works best, delivery time varies from 1 to 2 weeks. Postage will depend on the size of the order, but will be in the vicinity of 25% of the price of the order. For larger orders ($500 and more) air freight is advisable, delivery is within two working days, but the customer will require a clearing agent at the airport of arrival. Freight cost will be in the vicinity of $150.
Risk and responsibility
Because of the fact that we have no control over the shipment after leaving our country, we cannot take responsibility for delays or other problems at customs or the postal systems in the country of destination. We will always be able to supply a tracking number and date of departure from South Africa.
Export Regulations Phyto-sanitary Regulations
All plants are well established and free of pests and diseases. Phyto-sanitary certificates are required for almost all foreign countries. In the case of the United Kingdom, the European Union, Japan and Korea we obtain open phyto-sanitary certificates which are acceptable to authorities in the regions mentioned. In most other countries import permits must be obtained from the Department of Agriculture or a similar department. Please check your country's import regulations. The cost of phyto-sanitary certificate is $25.00 per order. Customers in the USA must note that they need import permits from their Department of Agriculture as well as so-called green-and-yellow labels for the orders to be sent to one of the inspection stations in the country.
