Gasteria

Gasteria is a medium sized genus with about 23 species of attractive leaf succulents making them excellent container plants. With their ability to grow under lower light conditions they are easily grown and maintained in cultivation. Some of the species include several varieties, while very attractive cultivars and hybrids add to the array of plant shapes, sizes and colours. Cultivars and hybrids (including crosses with Aloe, “Gasteraloe”) are included in this section. The genus is endemic to the region including South Africa, Namibia and Swaziland.
